Auberge scène is a unique retreat where fine dining and lodging come together. The name scène means “scene” or “landscape” in French. Each day, we express the natural scenery of San’in—the weather, the harvest from the fields, and the catch from the sea—on the plate as a one-of-a-kind “scene.” Fresh vegetables and herbs are harvested from our garden every morning, while seafood varies depending on the day’s conditions. This allows us to create course menus that truly reflect the season and the richness of San’in. Our guest rooms feature a simple yet warm design, providing a peaceful atmosphere where you can unwind. Together with a special dining experience, your stay offers both comfort and inspiration.
My name is Hotaka Maeta, chef of Auberge scène.
