Despina and Ivano had a beautiful dream to leave the hustle and bustle of big city life and return to a more tranquil and sustainable lifestyle that heals the soul. We started our search in August of 2022 with our two children to explore the possibility of realizing our dream. After a year of searching, with many highs and lows, we stumbled upon Villa La Maesta and fell in love with all it had to offer. Our dream has evolved over the course of the year and with the finding of La Maesta our hope is to take that dream and transform it into something even greater. We made the decision to turn it into an Agriturismo so that we could share a bit of our dream with all of you. 2023 is the starting point of Villa La Maesta’s transformative journey from a structure into our dream. We have a many phased plan which includes recovering ancient olive groves and restoring them to their former beauty, planting fruit orchards and vegetable gardens in a sustainable bio-dynamic manner, and the re-introduction of animals onto the farm.
