Everyone is welcome; party energy not included.
Gilded Palms Villa Bali is hosted by Yandi Suyandi, a charming and dynamic Indonesian hospitality professional in his mid-30s. Yandi began his career as Guest Services Manager at Pesona Jakarta, an upscale accommodation in the Indonesian capital, and later served as Indonesian Consultant for IndoExcursions, an international tour operator. After moving to Bali, he helped establish and manage Chris’ Café & Pool Bar for its first two years before partnering with a local investor to open Gilded Palms.
Yandi’s hosting style is warm, attentive, and quietly professional. Believing that true hospitality is inclusive and personal, he has built Gilded Palms as a safe, welcoming haven where solo travellers, all couples, close friends, and chosen family feel equally at home. Guests can expect a judgement-free atmosphere, thoughtful attention to how they prefer to be addressed, and a scene-free environment designed for comfort, privacy, and connection.
Gilded Palms is intentionally adults-only and calm — perfect for travellers who prefer the dawn light of the tranquil Ubud hills to the strobe lights of Seminyak. Yandi enjoys leading early-morning ricefield walks, arranging invitations to local temple ceremonies, and connecting guests with Balinese cultural life. When it’s time to unwind, he’s also happy to suggest low-key evenings out for those who enjoy relaxed company.
Whether you book one suite or all three for a fully private, chosen-family retreat, Yandi’s goal is simple: considerate, boutique-level service and affirming stays for every guest. As he often says, “Everyone is welcome at Gilded Palms — just leave the party energy at the gate.”
Set in the tranquil highlands north of Ubud, Gilded Palms Villa Bali sits within a traditional Balinese village where daily temple life and rice-terrace rhythms shape the day. This is the Bali of soft gamelan music, morning markets, and friendly smiles—an inviting base for travellers who want to go beyond the ordinary and connect with authentic Balinese culture.
From the villa, guests can explore vibrant local markets, visit ancient temples, join cooking classes with village hosts, or learn to play gamelan in a family compound. And nearby trails lead through emerald ricefields to hidden waterfalls and spiritual springs—a perfect setting for slow mornings or quiet reflection.
For the young and young-at-heart, white-water rafting, jungle buggies, and mountain cycling are minutes away. And within 25 minutes you’ll reach the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, Mason Elephant Park, Kintamani volcano, and the world-famous town of Ubud—Bali’s cultural heart, with galleries, performances, and restaurants that celebrate creativity and connection.
The surrounding area is known for its open-minded, artistic community, where solo explorers, all couples, and chosen-family groups feel equally at ease. Evenings are calm and unhurried: more candlelight than club light.
At Gilded Palms, we celebrate authentic travel—immersive experiences, local friendships, and the freedom to simply be yourself. Here, culture comes first, calm comes naturally, and everyone finds their place under the same Bali sky.
