''Kampos-Votsalakia'' beach This is a sunny, 2km long beach of pebbles & silky sand. Have a dip in the beautiful turquoise waters of the Aegean. This beach is well organized with sun loungers & umbrellas at several points; it has beach bars & attracts both young & old. Pythagoras cave & Mount Kerkis According to tradition, Pythagoras the great mathematician & philosopher fled to hide in this cave at the foot of Mount Kerkis. The chapel of Panagia Sarantaskaliotisa is situated at 500m & then the climb starts. It is the highest mountain in the northeastern Aegean - at 1400m & is ideal for hiking & climbing. On Mount Kerkis, nature lovers can discover ''the greatness of the sky & the hidden beauty of the land''. At the top, do not forget to visit the Monastery of Panagia Evangelistria.
