The Studio is a quiet and cosy, centrally heated detached retreat with a double garage and ample free parking on an exclusive development - just minutes walk from the centre of Crickhowell with its pubs, restaurants, cafes shops etc.
The Lounge has a 43 Inch 4K Smart LED TV with HDR Freeview/ Play and if you have a subscription, Netflix etc. Unlimited WiFi 63Mbps Fast Fibre broadband, 4G Mobile Signal, DVD Player, Hi Fi with DAB/ CD/ Bluetooth. Books, games, magazines, DVD box sets and movies are provided.
A Nest Home Mini is there to answer questions about the locality. Additionally there are folders containing information, routes and maps for many beautiful walks and hikes. And when you get back from your walk; our recommendations and sample menus for lovely pubs and restaurants to eat out locally.
The kitchen is well equipped. Tea and filter coffee/ cafetiere making facilities are provided, together with a Welcome Pack of bread, jam, Welsh Cakes, milk, orange juice, chocolate biscuits (and a bottle of wine/beers for 7 day+ stays and repeat guests - remind me when booked!).
Reached from the spiral staircase the bedroom has a King sized bed, Smart TV, DAB/ Bluetooth Radio, chest of drawers and clothes rail/ hangers.
Parking is free and always available on your doorstep. The double garage offers secure parking for a small/ /medium car, motorbikes, mountain bikes, kayaks etc. It also houses a fridge freezer and washer dryer. There's also a washing line. Our insurance does not cover the charging of electric cars from the garage sockets. It is not safe to do so. Public electric car charging points are available less than 1/2 mile away.
Due to its design, with spiral staircase and mezzanine bedroom with low window ledges, the property is not suitable for the disabled/ infirm, young children or babies.
Sorry no animals allowed. The Studio is a no smoking property and it would be great if guests took off their outdoor shoes and boots at the door.

We have also holidayed in many many locations around the world, Europe, USA, India etc. Keith and Lynne jointly own The Studio in Crickhowell, Wales with their son Jamie. We know what it's like to be disappointed by a cottage or hotel booking that falls below expectations. That's why we want your holiday to be memorable for all the right reasons!

Crickhowell is a popular tourist destination in Mid Wales. The Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons are here, with mountain-biking, hill walking, fishing etc

Crickhowell High Street was recently crowned the UK's best in the Great British High Street Awards. There are some lovely family run shops which are complimented by a new Co-op. Abergavenny, Brecon, Hay on Wye are also worth visiting and also have your nearest large supermarkets .
There are some lovely cafes, restaurants and bars just a short walking dstance from The Studio. No need to take the car. Check Google Maps or Trip Advisor for top scoring eateries - there are several good ones nearby.
Serious shopping can be done in Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil's Trago Mills and Cyfarthfa Retail Parks.
A car is recommended. A regular bus service connects Abergavenny - Brecon and beyond.
