The Old Stables at Blackshaw Farm is a cosy gem situated in North Staffordshire, nestled between the historic market towns; Leek and Buxton. Based on a 200 acre working Farm home to dogs and cows, this cosy two bed cottage with log fire is Ideal for walkers, climbers, bikers, small families and dog owners. Bordering Cheshire and the Derbyshire Peak District, we are surrounded by stunning views of the Roaches mountain range, reservoirs, within 5 miles of Alton Towers, and have access to an abundance of country pubs! All guests please be informed that the cottage is heated purely by a pot stove fire, which heats the radiators throughout. There are instructions how best to work the fire in your welcome pack, if you have any concerns please contact us prior to booking.
Stu and Rosie run a 200 acre beef farm in North Staffordshire, we have a 2 bed converted Stables available and Stu also runs the UKs premier off road motorcycle school from the farm. We live on site so are typically around should you need us. We are happy to greet you on arrival. We do have working roaming dogs who will come and say hello, they are very friendly but if you have a fear of dogs, this property perhaps is not for you. We can advise great local pubs, restaurants and activities just give us a quick text or call on site if we are not around for any of your needs during your stay!
