Seagulls Rest is just a short 5 minute walk from the Beach. The outside Terrace has views over the sea towards Hurst Castle, with the rolling countryside behind. Tastefully furnished in a retro- seaside style with comfortable beds and blackout curtains for a good nights sleep. All rooms have USB points, bedrooms have bedside lighting with additional ambient lighting through out. There is a double bedroom with a 4’6" double bed, the second bedroom has 2 x 3’ wide twin beds, we can also offer a kingsize bed in this room upon request at the time of booking, unless this is specifically requested the bedroom will have twin beds for the length of your stay. The lounge has a 40” TV with the ROKU streaming service for guests to sign in to Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. There is free high speed WIFI and a selection of card and board games along with golf clubs, balls, cricket set and umbrellas. The well maintained grounds have a children's playground, football pitch, tennis court and mini golf with a larger golf area further up, all overlooking the sea, Hurst Castle and the Needles. There is access to the beach and its possible to walk along to “The Hut” in Colwell Bay at low tide. Freshwater is a lovely little village with some quirky little shops, only a 5 minute drive from the bungalow, including a Sainsbury's local, Tesco Superstore, a pharmacy, charity shops, cafes, ‘Jaffran' the local Indian restaurant and The Vine Pub with a nice little garden and good pub food. Other nearby restaurants include the excellent Red Lion, The Waterfront in Totland and The Hut, which is only a short walk along the beach. There are so many attractions never far away, Calbourne Mill, Black Gang Chine, Robin Hill, Tapnell Farm, Dinosaur Isle, Osbourne House, Carisbrooke Castle, Shanklin, Ryde Esplanade, Godshill and so much more. While we consider the property to family friendly there are no child locks on the cupboard doors etc. We ask you to be responsible for your childs safety all times.
