Standing in the grounds of a Listed Georgian house, The Barn offers two boutique self-catering Guest Suites in the heart of Allington, a tranquil Lincolnshire village. Situated on the edge of the Vale of Belvoir with distant views of Belvoir Castle, The Barn is just a moments walk to the village pub (the Welby Arms) and from Allington Manor, a stunning 15th century wedding venue. Completely separate from the main house, with its own front door, The Barn's upstairs Belvoir Suite provides a stunning open plan living space. This fully equipped self-catering conversion is bright and airy with exposed brickwork and a high spec modern kitchen. It has spacious living accommodation with a 28inch flat screen smart TV, sofa and dining table. The bedroom area provides beautiful white bed linen over an inviting king size bed and adjoining bathroom. With distant views of Belvoir Castle from the bedroom window, The Barn offers everything you need from a short-stay luxury retreat. As guests of The Barn you have access to your own parking space, as well as a paved patio area next to the fruit garden and south-facing outdoor seating enjoying sun throughout the day.
We will welcome guests on arrival, and be available to answer any queries during your stay, either in person or via messenger.
The Barn provides an abundance of opportunity for the walker, cyclist and horse rider, as well as those just wanting to explore the beauty of the English countryside. Standing firmly on the path of The Viking Way (stretching 147 miles from the Humber Bridge to Oakham), Allington is also just a short drive to Belton House (second most popular National Trust property in the UK); Belvoir Castle (home of the Duke of Rutland); Woolsthorpe Manor (birthplace and family home of Sir Isaac Newton); and Arena UK (the largest indoor equestrian centre in the UK). It is within 30 minutes of the cities of Nottingham and Lincoln and market towns of Stamford, Oakham, Melton Mowbray, Southwell and Newark.
