Rudis is a spacious and modern holiday apartment on the ground floor of a newly built, detached, multi-family house. The house gets its heating energy from a geothermal plant. The domestic hot water is generated by decentralised air-heating pumps, whereby all apartments are forced-ventilated. The house, apartment and terrace are barrier-free. The south-facing terrace offers an unobstructed view and access to nature. The house is located on an approx. 4000 square meter large property, which is available for the use of all residents.
As we are living in Monschau almost a lifetime we know the surroundings and the Eifel very well, both as passionated hikers and mountain bikers. We are happy to give our guests tips for activities. There is also the possibility to take part in regular mountain bike rides on weekends during the summer time.
Menzerath is a small, very quiet village with about 50 houses above the old town of Monschau. The place is an ideal starting point for hikes, walks, bike and mountain bike tours in the nature of the Eifel. In Monschau and Simmerath (both 5km away) there are modern indoor swimming pools. The nearest outdoor swimming pool is located about 12km at the lake Rursee.
