Neighbourhood information
In the heart of Cairns North, this unit location is within a 10-minute drive of Centenary Lakes Botanic Gardens and Cairns Night Markets. This apartment is close to Mount Whitfield Conservation Park and Dunwoody's Tavern.
The Cairns Esplanade is the jewel in the Cairns crown. It is very popular with locals for walking, jogging, cycle pathways, and exercise equipment at various locations along the length of grassy, well-maintained lawns. The expansive parks and gardens are beautiful. There is a concrete pathway along the beach. A few minutes walk to gas barbecue areas, Muddy's Cafe (local fish and chips, burgers etc.) and a terrific water playground and jungle play area for kids.
The southern end of the Esplanade has many bars and restaurants to choose from, as well as a world-class casino with restaurants (and is adjacent to the main shopping area). Here you will find plenty of tour booking agents for a big range of reef, rainforest, and tablelands tours scenic flights, fishing trips, balloon flights, and other specialty tours.
The Cairns beach is not for swimming. Please use the pool at the complex or the huge free infinity pool at the southern end of the esplanade which has its own beach and lifesavers. Gas barbecues, ice cream shops and cafes are nearby.
Further along, the southern end of the Esplanade is the Marina, from where local charter, fishing charters and daily tour vessels to the reef operate and in the river mouth is the Port for national and international cruise ships.
