Originally the Gatehouse for “Stoke House”, this Victorian Rustic Gothic heritage cottage has been standing proud since 1860. Now modernized to a fully airconditioned ,cosy retreat with modern kitchen and bathroom. This 2 bedroom cottage, surrounded by a relaxing cottage garden , Gatehouse has 2 large bedrooms: Bedroom 1 :King Bed ( can be split into 2 Long Singles) Bedroom 2 :Queen Bed and King Single. It can comfortably sleep 5. There is a well equipped kitchen and we provide cereals, yoghurt, spreads, bread, milk as well as Tea and Coffees so you can make a light breakfast. The warm inviting lounge has a TV with Movies for your enjoyment after a day of exploring Hobart is a perfect gateway for you to explore all Hobart has to offer from a central location.
Vicki & Steven Gangell are pleased to welcome you to their cottage. We have a large family and Golden Retriever dogs. We live on the mountain and enjoy the great bush walking in Tasmania. We will greet you on arrival when possible. We are about 30 minutes away and are always happy to assist with information about our property or the Hobart area.
An historical and charming street, only minutes away from local eateries, just a short walk to the bustling North Hobart restaurant/café strip. 15min drive to MONA. 5 mins to the city centre, 8 mins drive to Salamanca markets. Free wifi, lots of books on Tasmania and Tourist brochures and maps you may find helpful. Botanical Gardens 5 minutes Doone Kennedy Acquatic Centre 5 mins Blundstone Arena 12 minutes Hockey centre 5 minutes A very central location!
