Such a lovely hostel right in the heart of the Thamel but it is so peaceful and tranquil with a nice garden space. Comfortable beds/pillows with privacy curtains and sockets/lights etc. The design of the bunk beds are nice with wide steps to climb up to so doesn’t feel like a bunk at all. Spacious showers with hot water. Staff are SO nice and friendly, they are always ready to help with anything. I felt very safe here as there is a large gate locked at night and 24 hour security/night shift staff. The staff are also constantly cleaning including bathrooms. 😀 WiFi is excellent. I organised the Manaslu trek via Pramod and it was incredible. I experienced a family bereavement during the trek and the staff on the trek and in the hostel couldn’t have been nicer to me. I appreciated it so much and will never forget your kindness 🙏

We loved it, and returned a few times. If you have to work remotely in Kathmandu, this is the place to do it! Bathrooms were also the cleanest I experienced in KTM.

In my opinion Nepalaya Home Hostel is one of the best budget accommodations in Kathmandu. it's clean, pleasant, and offers excellent value for money What genuinely distinguishes it is the amazing hospitality, particularly of Amrit the hard work guy always smiling and always provide problem solving ideas for guests.  His warm welcome, friendly demeanor, and genuine concern for guests make you feel right at home. He never fails to be willing to help, whether you need travel advice or simply want to talk everyone becomes friends so fast with him . This hostel is an excellent alternative for budget tourists due to its pleasant environment, friendly environment and convenient location. Highly recommended!

Less than 1 km from Swayambhunath Temple and 3.7 km from Kathmandu Durbar Square, the property provides a terrace and a bar. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. I’ve stayed at this time 4 times during my time in Kathmandu! Awesome location off the ring road (easily get a bus from the airport.. they pretty much all go around the ring road). I met a lot of great people here too. Breakfast is good and the owners are so nice!!

The breakfast offers continental, American or Asian options. At the hostel you will find a restaurant serving American and Nepalese cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and vegan options can also be requested. I have to say everything is perfect. It's away from bustling area, but no more than 20mins to get to the center. Everyone is lovely and helpful, including all the staffs and guests. Can't imagine a more cozy hostel than this.

I spent a whole day looking for a suitable hostel in Kathmandu. After comparing 6 hostels, I finally chose Birds Nest. It turned out to be the best choice I made. I was attracted by the beautiful courtyard of the hostel at first, as if I was in the nature. Of course, the staff here are also super nice, we greeted and chatted every day. There are also very delicious food here, with local characteristics and reasonable prices.

The owner Sunny is very nice and helpful! Our room had a private washroom inside the room! The location is great because it is calm and not so crowded. You can go to the center by Taxi (10 min) and by foot (30 min).
