Located in Killarney and with St Mary's Cathedral reachable within 200 metres, The Black Sheep Hostel provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The accommodation features a tour desk and luggage storage space for guests. I haven't stayed in a hostel for at least 25 years. At my age I thought I'd try(58) Honestly it was an absolute pleasure and way better than staying in a hotel or a lonely bb. The staff were welcoming, helpful and all round excellent! I highly recommend the place!!

The Nest Boutique Hostel offers a majority of double and twin ensuite rooms which have comfy beds, soft linen, power showers, fridges and contemporary Irish art work. Family bedrooms and dormitories are also available The place was clean and comfortable, the staff very helpful. You could ask them for help for finding your way around the city. There were shampoo and soap in the bathroom, and bedclothes and towels were included in the price of the room. If you're travelling with electronic devices and have trouble with the local socket type, you can rent an adapter from the reception desk; the deposit is 5€, and the deposit for your room key is 10€, which you'll get back upon check-out. Check-out is normally at 10a.m., but if you want to check out later, it'll only cost a fiver, I was told. There were small lockers for every guest in the shared bedroom as well as larger lockers in the downstairs lobby; you can ask for a padlock at the reception desk and use the lockers safely during your stay. There was a convenient, well-equipped shared kitchen and a fridge for the guests' use. You could also get breakfast or other meals at the hostel restaurant; the food looked great, though I didn't try any. There were also board games downstairs available for guests' use, which is a nice touch I think.

That’s exactly why I’ve visited three times over the past seven years and each time, I chose to stay at Aille River Hostel.
