Henrietta and Bob were very friendly and welcoming! We had most of our trip planned as we mainly came for hiking, but Henrietta recommended a nice little hill a few minutes away (walking distance!) where we could enjoy a lovely view of the town and the mountains before heading back to catch the train. I am going to be back without any doubt.

The castle! The fact that you actually live somewhere 800 years old! It also has all the authentic parts preserved in a nice harmony with renovation.
Good breakfast, lovely person who was serving it, very helpful and communicative. It's a shame there are no other meals.
I do recommend my friends to go stay there!

The hostel's location near the city centre and many touristic spots is great. The reductions on the bar downstairs too. It's cheap so very practical for low-budget travelers like me.
Quiet room, comfortable bed, fantastic shower, great location, staff were very friendly and room was ready a little earlier than the scheduled 3pm check in. Breakfast was OK; parked in Sophia gardens for 3 days, £40 for 7 days but cheaper than the other NCP car parks even with a disount and a lot safer, 10 mins walk across the river.
Friendly staff and atmosphere.Evening entertainment put on for every night that I was there. Comfy beds and rooms cleaned daily.. Great location and easy to get to the town and beach. It is cheap and cheerful and perfect for my budget.
lovely staff, great location, cheap, own (small with bunk bed) room for my friend and I
great location for attending a concert in Cardiff, very friendly staff, good facilities for a one night stay. I had booked a double room but asked if I could possibly have twin beds which had been arranged. right by the motorway fly over but didn’t bother us as sound proofing obviously very good. easy and cheap to get Ubers to/from Newport station. would definitely book again if going to an event in Cardiff.
Great location for a hike up the Great Orme. Very cheap stay - £70 for two nights. Staff friendly. Booked a single room, got a room with a double bed and a single bed. Hotel very dated, but you get what you pay for.
