The 4-bed dorm room is big and toilet in the room is clean. The staff is helful although she cannot speak much English. The location is good. It is a few minutes away by walking from bus stop to Sun Moon Lake and around 10 minutes by walking to Bus Station for the bus to Qingjing Farm, Hehuan Shan and Taipei.

The location put us right at the Ita Thao Shopping Street so we could easily grab street food. We were also very close to the pier where the docks for the Sunmoon Lake Shuttle Boat are located. This boat takes you to Shuishe, Xuangguang (where the Ci'en Pagoda is), then back to Itashao. They also offered free performances by very talented artists who sang covers of songs and also take requests! (Mostly Chinese songs though.) I stayed the night but still wanted to explore after checkout at 11 AM and the hostel actually allowed us to leave our luggage with them until we left around 6 PM for FREE! There are also Chargespot portable chargers that come with all 3 major charging wires ($45 NTD max for the day or $15 NTD per hour) at the hostel (perfect for a day out). If they run out of chargers, you can try getting one from the information center at the pier. Since Chargespot is located in multiple locations throughout Taiwan, you can return the portable charger at any Chargespot location. Everything was very clean and looked very new. There's also a rooftop which offers you a view of the shopping street and the lake/mountains beyond. It's not amazing but good enough.

Very nice place, good style and welcoming. Nice room. We are cycling around the island and stayed here 1 night when passing through Puli, would stay here again. Shower was warm after a hard day's ride, AC was cool. Staff was friendly and the price was a good value. I loved the paintings in our room and also around the inn.

This was a very social hostel in a very beautiful location. Not only was I welcomed by the hostel owner, there were also two volunteers present. In the morning you can receive a light breakfast, while in the evening you can join some card games. The terrace is a nice place to chill out and don't forget to ask for a discount coupon when you want to rent a bike or have a mouthwatering breakfast.
