I cannot say enough positive words about this hostel. The owner and staff members understand their guests needs perfectly. Their kindness to me was wonderful and welcoming. I stayed in a private room which was spacious and clean. I slept very well on a good bed with a soft comforter. The hostel is located on a side street, a short walk to the busy parts of Lakeside. I enjoyed the quiet ~ even when the Corner Pub downstairs was busy, it was not a problem for noise. The staff is A+++. I had to extend my stay initially to recover from a cold virus. They were able to keep me in the same room and I was able to rest. I am an older female solo traveler. Although I was usually twice the age of other guests, it was easy to meet other travelers and trekkers. If I’d needed an introduction, the staff members wouldn’t have hesitated to connect me with another guest. They are truly a wonderful and hard working group of people who always had smiles for all. The daily breakfast was excellent!

I checked into Nepalaya Eco Hostel on my first night in Pokhara and ended up staying for over a month. It’s such an easy place to relax and just unwind. Rather than feeling like a typical hostel, it felt more like a homestay with a restaurant—comfortable and welcoming—yet still offered the benefits of a hostel. I enjoyed meeting other travelers in the shared dorm, and the atmosphere was laid-back and friendly. The family who runs the hostel was incredibly helpful on many occasions—from finding me a quiet room for a conference call to setting up an extension cord so I could charge my laptop in the dorm. These small acts of kindness made a big difference in my stay. I’d definitely return here the next time I’m in Pokhara.

The staff is amazing, just super friendly, helpful and very nice in all regards. The place is super clean. It is a great to enjoy the sun on the communal area and relax there the whole day. Superb location! Very good breakfast and food im general, i can highly recommend to stay here :)
