Family owned property. Hisham and his family are very kind, hospitable and take excellent care of the property. We stayed in the room at the very top, it has a big bed and private small bathroom & a balcony with an excellent view of Tangier. Excellent location and the property some renovations leading to it so just follow the maps and you’re going to get there. Hisham and his family were kind enough to allow us to leave our bags for a few hours while sightseeing. Highly recommended

Since I am bit sensitif with clean things, they gave us white sheet so I can cover my bed and pillow with that and it already convince me to sleep peacefully. Hot water is also helping me to feel relax.

Everything about my five-night stay at the Socco Hostel was fantastic. The staff, breakfast, the view, the vibe ("vibe" is not a word I use in my everyday vocabulary, but here it expresses my impressions of the Socco!), the location, everything about it exceeded my expectations! There was a wonderful mix of generations - there were several guests from my generation (ahem - "boomer") and of course, young people just beginning their journies. I enjoyed talking with so many people, more than at any other time during any of my travels throughout the years. I am usually more solitary, but everyone, staff and guests alike, was so welcoming it truly was like being among old friends.

Well set in the center of Tangier, Yakout hostel is within a 12-minute walk of Tangier Municipal Beach and 300 yards of American Legation Museum.

Liked this place in Medina so much. Despite the fact, that some guests was a bit noisy (so my recommendation to provide a rule for hostel about quiet hours). The owner very supportive answers in all your question and helps in different situations. Did I mentioned a terrase? It maybe the best what I've had in Morocco. No bunk beds, towel, good price, what more could I expect. Thanks!

The price is a great deal and the beds are clean and comfortable. There were a lot of bathrooms, the hot water works fine and it was nice and cool at least this time of year. It did have a social vibe, meeting people a little. The guy who seemed to be in charge makes an effort to help with anything you need, including asking when I would like breakfast (included in the stay I booked). I think he left some bread, butter and jam for me on the terrace, the top floor. The WiFi works fine. Ultimately, if you want to save some money this place will be okay for you, but if you want a better place you have to pay at least twice as much.
