The hostel is ideally located close to the village centre and some nice hiking trails. It is a cosy place surrounded by nature and the rooms are comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Coniston.

Set in a grand Victorian mansion, YHA Langdale is a National Trust property with leafy grounds, cosy log fires and a restaurant. The Lake District hostel is situated between Elterwater and Grasmere.

The location was sublime, set in a protected national park. The building was beautiful with large lounge areas and views over the greenery. As always at YMA, the room we were given was very clean. One of the nicest YMA hostels we visited.

Set within the beautiful Lakeland village of Grasmere, this Victorian mansion features fabulous views of the surrounding fells and valleys. Guests can enjoy the restaurant and relaxing TV lounge.

It is an absolutely stunning place in the middle of nature. Staff was really kind and helpful, breakfast was very enjoyable and the beds were comfy. I would always stay here again as it was inexpensive and memorable. And the views around, like out of a fairytale.
