Stylish, easy self check-in, spotless sleeping quarters, enjoyed using the common areas and kitchen. Staff are kind, helpful and professional. The cafe/bar attached next door was a great place for my morning coffees. Also Poshtel has effective signage and display cabinets offering extras for sale / rent - if guests have forgotten their own locks, towels etc. Having full length mirrors in the (female only) dorm I stayed in was a welcome touch.

We were able to get a room with bunk beds to ourselves, with a private bathroom. It was clean, and comfortable. We don't usually stay in hostels, but this one gave us a room to ourselves!

Bilbao Hostel is an excellent choice, very nice and well run, but let’s get the one negative out of the way right now: If you plan on cooking your own meals, well... go somewhere else. The communal kitchen, potentially shared among 170 guests, isn’t even suitable for preparing one person’s meal. The total cooking facilities consist of one induction burner and two small microwaves, one of which was broken during my stay. No pots and pans, no cutlery, no can opener, no corkscrew, nothing. Yes, you can get a small frying pan, a modest cooking pot, and one place setting for a €30 deposit, but with only one heating element, what’s the point? OK, if you plan on always eating out or just heating take out food, this is no problem and the rest of this high rise, 8 floor, hostel is great. Shared rooms are 4 or 6 beds, very clean, and typically but not super-cheaply priced (I paid €26/person in late October before 10% Genius discount). The property is beautiful, with an expansive view of Bilbao through the many large windows, large outdoor areas, plenty of free parking, a parking lot for motor homes, unshared rooms available, and at 170 beds, much more capacity than the typical hostel. In the off season, you have a reasonable chance of having a dormitory room to yourself. There is a generous noon deadline for vacating your room and you're still free to stay in the public areas after that. There are several comfortable public spaces (although the nicest lounge is reserved for employees, and usually empty), the included breakfast is all you can eat and above average (but notably lacking any fresh fruit), you can do your laundry (extra fee), and the 24 hour desk means you can arrive anytime.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Small room. Good option for overnight sleep, if you don't plan to spend much time at room or hostel. One of the cheapest options in Bilbao. Location is quite good, close the bus station and touristic parts of city are easily reachable even by foot. Bathroom was clean (but also small).

Very cheap, so perfect if you just need a simple hostel, basically just a bed to sleep in, a little kitchen and common room. You're definitely not paying for extra facilities. Lots of backpackers doing el camino, all ages, but not really a social hostel. Quiet and most people are in bed early which is nice.
