Rihanny at the front desk is a total star. Calm, pleasant, warm and helpful she made our stay exceptional. The hostel was a joy, wonderful grounds with a resident sloth (Raoul), a number of agouti and most wonderful...the red straberry dart frogs. There are flowers at every corner and the trees and lush vegetation add ambiance and privacy. They have a good system for food storage in the shared kitchen and a nice little pool area.

The room was well set up; the bed was comfortable, the 2 fans were great and having a mini fridge in the room was very handy. We loved that there were sloths and agouti around the hostel. We also loved Tequila, one of the cats who was super friendly. He brightened our days!

This Hostel made me feel the meaning of the Costa Rican "Pura Vida". The location is comfortable and clean. Recommended for every type of traveller. Beautiful and relaxing hostel in Puerto Viejo. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The hostel felt very safe too. There are hammocks to relax in and the outdoor kitchen is really well-equipped with everything you need.
