The place is very well organized. The bedrooms are clean and the beds are super comfortable. The kitchen is enormous and well equipped with utensils and big fridges, all very clean and tidy. The toilets and bathrooms are also pretty good, and there's plenty! They've got a nice view of the city from the rooftop bar, which is very cool.

the staff are so kind, care about customers well and security is strict here. When I forgot to receive my room key and went back at 10pm ( reception is closed at 10pm), they put my room key in a password box in front of the entrance so fortunately I could get in my room and slept well😭❤️ I couldn’t thank them enough!!

Nice place. An excellent place for those settling into a new country, i've had high contact with travelers and students and foreign workers staying there. Good acomodations. It's really cool to get to know the rhythm of travelers and those who already live in Australia, and communicate in English with travelers from all over the world. Cool events throughout the week like pizza night. Well administered, with security and well-established rules. If I need a new place in the future, I would stay here. In fact, I extended my stay two weeks longer than expected.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Love love love YHA Brisbane. I always stay here whenever I'm in the city. Very clean, safe and not crowded/loud. Facilities and amenities are very good and always clean. The staff are awesome. Great location and absolutely priceless view of the city from the roof top. They have a rooftop bar as well and the cafe at reception does a great coffee. Best Hostel in Brisbane.

Great location within the city. Coles is less than a 5 minute walk away and only a 15 minute walk to the city centre. Property is always cleaned as there is cleaners around daily. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The hostel host an activity every night as ranging from free food to free entertainment which is great to see as a backpacker. Would absolutely recommend to anyone, I initially booked for 2 weeks and extended my stay by another month. Great experience overall

great location in fortitude valley. very smart for a hostel. the hostel has its own bar / club with cheap drinks. a free drink was on offer at 8pm which was a good opportunity to meet other travellers. very friendly staff from the front desk to bar to security. despite all this we had no trouble sleeping, no noise issues, etc. although that could be due to the placement of the room we had. my friend and I had a twin ensuite room which was comfortable and clean.

Wow what a hostel! I’ve experienced many hostels in my time but nothing compares to BQ. The design was more like a boutique hotel. The bathrooms were super modern and the bunk beds were spacious, comfortable and private. The free breakfast was a bonus and the staff were super friendly. 100% recommend to anyone looking to stay in Brisbane on a budget. Thank you for a fantastic stay BQ!
