The room was clean and comfortable, the staff amazing and caring and breakfast was delicious. We even asked for breakfast to take away earlier one day and they prepared it for us.

Would recommend this place to stay at. Kitchen well equipped, coffee machine was nice, fridge was nice and big.

Set in Machico, S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal is a recently renovated accommodation, 22 km from Santana's Traditional Houses and 30 km from Marina do Funchal. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Beach Pedradeira. The guest house features family rooms. Great place with all necessary staff for travellers. A lot of cafes and restaurants just in a few minutes walks. Pedro is a super friendly and active host, who gave a plenty of local recommendations and directions. Coffee machine with the capsules did my mornings happy)

The homestay provides a fitness room and a shared kitchen. We truly enjoyed everything about our stay. From the warm welcome we received on arrival to the helpful recommendations on local places to eat and explore – everything was outstanding. Alan, the host, was incredibly kind and accommodating. He let us use his personal kitchen equipment and was always available to help and support us when needed. We especially appreciated the friendly conversations and the overall relaxing, positive atmosphere in the house. It felt like being among friends. We absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming retreat.

Girao Cape is 12 km away and Santana's Traditional Houses is 43 km from the guest house. Fabulous little home in the hills, off the beaten track. The terrace has lovely views in the evening and it’s everything you need for a private, comfy stay. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. We stayed for two nights and it was a great base from which to explore Madeira’s central hikes.

The property features a garden, barbecue facilities and parking on-site among other facilities. With city views, this accommodation features a patio. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the picnic area, or enjoy views of the sea and mountain. The apartment is gorgeous and spotless clean. The host is very available, responsive, friendly and welcoming. Check in is completely seamless. The property has a beautiful, sizable garden with a great view of the town and ocean. My partner and I absolutely loved our stay in this property because of all the attention to detail that the host put towards the furnishing and decoration of the apartment, which is a rarity. Some places are furnished expensively but in an impersonal and cold style, but this one is truly someone's home, with great character, that the host is sharing with you.

Great view, parking close by, cleanliness, there was a kitchen available, laundry service, great hosts, quiet place, close to the calheta beach. Bonus points that the Artists House is a sponsor of a local animal shelter!

This part of Madeira is much more greener than anywhere else. The host is very helpful and friendly!! Helped us to rent a car for a good price and offered us pick up/drop off from airport with reasonable price.
