From the beautiful house itself and the delicious food (both breakfast and dinner are included in the price, made at home or by local cooks, out of local products, easily one of the best, if not the best, I had in Oman), through small details like the smell of incense all around the guesthouse, elegant design choices, and the high quality soap (available to buy downstairs!), to the host herself and the ambience she creates for this place. I loved her idea to have shared dinners and breakfasts, with her and/or other travelers. It is a wonderful way to exchange stories and experiences while building a small community of Bait Al Aali people. Emina knows a lot about the region, has interesting stories to tell, a big heart for animals and is conscious about sustainable development of tourism. The area is magical and quiet, with a palm plantation just outside, where you can stroll for hours and relax. The room was spacious, with a lot of light, a big, comfortable bed and a private, very clean and modern bathroom. Everything is freshly renovated, the terrace has an incredible view of the area, and Emina makes sure that the place feels like home you want to return to. I’ll definitely be back for a longer stay!

The area is popular for hiking, and free use of bicycles is available at the homestay. An indoor play area is also available for guests at 228Hostel. The host was very friendly, we had a few nice conversations, and he even recommended a beautiful hike nearby. We also shared dinner together and talked about our cultures, which made the stay feel very personal. The property was clean, comfortable, and great value for low-cost travelers. Everything was perfectly fine.

Located in the village of Misfat Al- Abriyeen in the state of Al-Hamra, Al Misfah Hospitality Inn is about 200 kilometers away from Muscat.

Its a restored ancient house overlooking the green palm groves and situated at the top of the house the famous Rogan Castle built more than 1500 years ago. I honestly enjoyed everything. The staff and owner are amazing. We had a guided tour and learned a lot about the town and the owner's family history. It was very interesting. The breakfast and dinner were good. The view from the room was really beautiful. I would recommend this place!
