Gihan et sa femme nous ont super bien accueillis. La chambre et la salle de bain était grandes et très propres. Nous avons également fait un cours de cuisine. Nous sommes d’abord aller au marché choisir les ingrédients et ensuite nous avons appris à faire un excellent Rice and Curry. Super expérience qu’on recommande fortement! Vous ne pouvez pas vous tromper avec ce logement, vous vous sentirez comme chez vous.

The rooms are clean and very comfortable, and the accommodation is well located for visiting the sites of Anuradhapura. The hosts are incredibly generous and hospitable. They did everything to make us feel comfortable and helped us organize our visits. And above all, we had the best Sri Lankan breakfast of our entire trip!!! Emplacement parfait, juste à côté de l'entrée du parc. Accueil tip top, très bon repas du soir. Nous partions très tôt pour le safari, donc petit déjeuner en mode pique-nique, très bon également. Les chambres sont propres et bien équipées (moustiquaires en bon état, indispensable dans le coin).

L’établissement Lake Wind se trouve à Habarana, à respectivement 13 km et 13 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Promontoire rocheux Pidurangala et Sigirîya. I wish I had more than one night in this beautiful property. From before arrival to departure the hosts could not have done more to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. They reached out to see if they could offer any assistance and after hearing we were travelling via train, offered to pick us up in their tuk. Although it was only 2 km from the station, we were grateful as it started raining just before we arrived. On arrival we were offered a welcome drink and shown the rooms. It’s a very private property, set apart from the main house, and offers 2 separate rooms which are perfect for families and small groups. The rooms are well designed and appointed with mosquito nets, a/c and hot water. There are great views from inside and out, with a number of different areas to sit, relax and enjoy the lake views. We enjoyed a fantastic home cooked dinner in the outdoor covered dining area and breakfast in the elevated hut on the lakefront which was perfect for watching all the birds. The dining area also had a fridge (if you want to byo), kettle and filtered water. We chose this place due to its proximity to Hurulu (the hosts also helped with organising the safari), but I hope to return and enjoy more of the great food and hospitality.

Kalhara is the perfect host , highly attentive and thoughtful about every small detail. The rooms are spacious, with a minimal aesthetic, well maintained and super clean. Every meal was a lovely home cooked spread, accommodating certain dietary restrictions . One of the best stay experiences I had during my two week trip in Srilanka.

An absolute haven close to the sacred city sites of Anuradhapura. Peaceful, set back about 75m from the road. Beautifully appointed rooms and a welcoming dining/reception area - exactly as shown in the photos on this site. What the photos do not reveal is the exceptional service and kindness of the owner and all of his staff. Nor do they convey the outstanding quality of the meals served. It is rare to find a welcoming home away from home as good as Golden Ray Villa and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The family is really lovely, they arranged for us everything we needed: from renting a bike to tuktuks and dinner and breakfast. Meals were amazing, here we had the best dahl we've ever had in a month.
