Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Nous avons adoré la maison typique japonaise où nous avons dormi à 5, la gentillesse et l’accueil du propriétaire (et de son chat) et du personnel, le délicieux curry servi le soir.

Staying in a 100+ year old traditional Japanese home was an amazing experience, and the fact that we had the whole house to yourself made it even better. In addition, the host was so kind and helpful and really went out of his way to make our stay memorable. He gave us great recommendations for dinner and helped us make reservations. The room was very spacious, the beds were very comfortable, and every amenity you could possible need was provided.

I’ve never stayed in such a first class hostel. The sliding doors for privacy by each bed are just great! The owner is lovely and strives to give an excellent service. He let me check in early because I arrived by bicycle (twice in fact). I returned because I liked it so much and felt at home. The place is probably the cleanest hotel in Japan, and that’s saying something. Also, the dining room chairs are so comfortable. Highly recommend.

We loved staying in an older traditional style Japanese home and experiencing sleeping on the tatami floor. The room was very spacious and the owners were kind and lovely people! The location was on the opposite end of the shopping street from the train station so lots of opportunity to see the town. We loved this stay!

We had an excellent 3 night stay here! It's a beautiful big traditional Japanese house with the host living in a separate house next door. There are 3 rooms in the house so there is the potential to be sharing with other guests. Toilets, shower rooms and kitchen are shared. Our room was huge with futons, a table, and sliding doors that opened up to a view of the garden. It was lovely to be able to hear the river rushing by right beside the house, and cool to stay in a quiet little neighborhood. The #29 bus is very easy to catch to and from Hiroshima station and it runs super frequently, so it wasn't a problem being slightly out from the city centre. We had a very relaxed and peaceful stay here and would definitely come back again. Thank you to our wonderful and friendly host Kengo!

Nous avions toute la maison pour nous. Accueil soigné de l’hôte. Quartier calme dans zone de maisons traditionnelles. Proche des différents sites à visiter. Très agréable pour se reposer après le bain de foule des endroits touristiques.
