The host was incredibly kind, he suggested the best places to eat and buy locally produced lemon pastries, and when we were leaving, he brought his cat, Tiger, and waved goodbye to us. As we were on a three-day bike trip and only had our small backpacks with us, we loved the fact that everything was provided: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, tooth brushes, toothpaste, mouth wash, etc. In each room there were even a couple of bottles of water and everything for making tea and coffee. In the common spaces there was a microwave, guidebooks, manga books, and a wall full of Toso Maps of the Shimanami Kaido trail. We will definitely book Bed&Cafe Onzo again next time we bike the Shimanami Kaido!

Situated in Miyajima, 2.4 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and 400 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, HEM'S HOTEL 1日1組限定 new features spacious air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. With quiet street views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The great Torii is 600 metres away and Itsukushima Shrine Treasure Hall is 800 metres from the guest house. What a beautiful home! We felt so welcome and cozy during our stay! The room was comfortable, the food was delicious, and all around our stay was a wonderful experience.

Stayed as a pitstop while doing the Shimanami Kaido. Modernised traditional Japanese house. Staff was extremely welcoming and even wrote our name in Kanji. The house itself is clean, and there's even a free washing machine and dryer for use. For what we paid, we got great value and would definitely stay here again if doing the Shimanami Kaido or even just to visit the island.
