This was by far my best experience in Lisbon, its a beautiful old boutique hotel that is well maintained but kept its authentic feeling. Wonderful staff and loved everything about the brand. You feel like you’re transported to a different era that appreciates the slow life and savor every moment. I also loved that the breakfast is a la carte. It’s an inspiring experience.

The stay was phenomenal. The service from the staff was excellent. Special compliments to Marcos at the reception who was very kind and interested in helping with the choice of how to see the city, as well as compliments to Clara who is the PR of the hotel and a wonderful Fado singer who gives tourists an insight into the history and what Fado is. Every morning, the day begins with the sound of the piano and violin, so I recommend experience. The Palace Hotel has and is long owned by one family, and everything in the facility represents how it used to be in the old rich houses of Lisabon. It's like you're in a fairy tale.

We really appreciated the warm and helpful staff and their suggestions. Republica is the perfect balance between a hotel and an upscale family - friendly hostel: we really appreciated the breakfast as well as having access to a fully equipped kitchen when we did not feel like eating at a restaurant and interacting with other guests. The common living spaces (living room, dining room, kitchen) are extremely comfortable and welcoming.
