If you come to Bhaktapur and want experience the local life of Nepales, Navin's place must be your best choice. He is so hospitality and the whole story is totally out of my expectation. We do the morning prayer, walking around in alleys and squares, riding the scooter to Namobudda and watching the sunsets. Navin arranged a perfect two days trip for me. No hurry but full of variety. Just wanna say, These two days are my best time in Nepal.

The Peacock Guesthouse is a most charming, heritage-rich, and truly special oasis in beautiful Bhaktapur. The staff are welcoming and kind. Their restaurant serves exquisite food. We dined at “home” each evening. We loved observing the colourful life in Dattatreya Square from our window perch. The breakfast is glorious. We savoured every moment of our time in this delightful gem.

What you see is what you get and that is great! Simple straightforward rooms in a nice and quite street close to all the beautifull squares. The manager is a wonderfully kind man who speaks perfect English, we stayed two nights more because we liked it so much. Good hot shower and everything is very clean.

Everything! The hotel is small but cosy and details are brought to a level much higher than the price payed. Breakfast is simple and delicious. And the family running the place is lovely and helpful.     This is a perfectly situated, comfortable homestay run by lovely people. It had the bonus of a kitchen, which I think would have been a great social space usually though we were there a little out of the busy season.
