The accommodation is tastefully decorated and well finished. All the furnishings and fittings are high quality. There was attention to detail in its construction. The apartment is cosy and feels like you could be anywhere in the world. The grounds are well kept, and the location is peaceful. The staff were helpful and professional.

This was by far the best experience we’ve ever had—not just in a homestay but in any hotel we’ve stayed at. You’ll be welcomed by an amazing family who make you feel like you’re truly part of their own. Each day, you’ll have the opportunity to join them on unique excursions like visiting cultural villages, learning to make coconut oil from scratch with the whole family, or exploring the rice fields with their cousin. The stay also includes a delicious homemade breakfast and lunch, and if you’d like dinner, you can enjoy it at their cozy little restaurant on-site. This is a beautiful property with a room that has a comfortable bed, AC, and large bathroom. The highlight is the beautiful private terrace overlooking rice fields. I did yoga and spent a lot of time on the hammock here during our stay. The best part of this homestay is the host family. Sukry, his sisters and mother go above and beyond in ensuring you are having a great time. The dinners here were amazing, some of the best food we had in Indonesia and the breakfast is delicious and filling. It was home cooked food packed with flavor. We did a rice fields, monkey forest and waterfall tour with Sukry which was really fun - it was great to learn about all the different kinds of local produce grown here and explore the nature around. Sukry also organized our transportation to Tetebatu from Bangsal Pier and from Tetebatu to Kuta Lombok at very reasonable prices. This is not just a homestay but a unique way to experience authentic Lombok culture through the generosity, warmth and openness of Sukry and his family. Sukry is very involved with helping the community and even donates part of the proceeds from the homestay and tours to the local orphanage. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Jonnys! The home was so beautiful, as was view of the mountains. Jonny and his family we were caring and it was nice to experience a local family environment. The food was amazing as well.

Lovely people, did a tour with Andi in the rain and it was amazing. Beautiful area to hike through the ricefields and monkey forest. Andi told everything about the fruit, herbs and area. In the evening there’s a very good restaurant and ate the local best food of my whole Lombok trip. Totally recommend.

We loved our stay here and the hospitality and kindness that Ang and his wife showed us. Ang has interesting stories to share and his wife is a great cook! The room itself is beautifully built and very comfortable. I’d also recommend going on a guided walk with Adi - this was a great experience too.

The stay in Tetebatu was my first ever experience of Indonesia and, wow! - was I absolutely smitten with its simplicity and beauty. The price of accommodation is so minuscle that it only makes sense to support homestay owners by joining on their local tours. After all, they offer not just their time, but their valuable local experience. Walk with them the rice fields, see and hear about the agriculture, jump into the cave waterfalls, watch the local ladies weave sarongs and make clay pottery, drive to the local market and ask your hosts to explain the local foods. If you are not the hike-or-die type, ask your hosts to bring you up to the foothills of Rinjani - and breathe in silence... I've seen and felt in a week more than I would do in two months back home. Also, very important!, as a solo female traveller I felt very safe with my hosts. I felt protected, respected and genuinely understood.
