The area is a small town but location is pretty easy to city bus and also about 7 mins walking to the castle. Great location, beautiful view of castle from patio, loved that there was complementary tea, also grateful for helping us with luggage for a few hours as it made our trip easier. Communication with host was easy and she responded quickly. Appreciated that we got our own bathroom for our rooms and that there was an extra toilet just in case. Place is spotless, thank you for a wonderful stay.

Offering free private parking, the 3-star guest house is 13 km from Orava Castle. The accommodation offers free WiFi throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a traditional restaurant. One amazing hotel. The room was super clean, very comfortable in this newly renovated 19th historic building. The owners were there for our every needs and gave us advice in visiting the area.. The breakfast was also great!

From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed—it felt less like checking into a guesthouse and more like being invited into someone’s home. The hosts went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, and they generously shared lots of great advice on where to go and what to see in Slovakia. Thanks to their tips, I discovered places I probably wouldn’t have found on my own. The room was cozy and clean, the location peaceful, and the whole experience felt personal and relaxed. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and friendly place to stay.

You can play billiards, table tennis and darts at the guest house, and the area is popular for skiing and cycling. Hiking and walking tours are possible within the area, and Ubytovanie pod Skalkou offers ski storage space. The apartment seemed brand new, clean and well equipped. Lots of parking space.
