The room was spacious and comfortable, the patio with kitchen was a huge plus, especially during rainy days. We loved that they changed our bed sheets every 2 days, which nowadays doesn't happen even in 4 or 5-star hotels. Nadia and Salvatore go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. They gave us a lot of tips for our tours and ways to explore the island. I can definitely recommend this place and would book it again!

My partner and I spent an unforgettable weekend in a charming overwater cabin on popa island. The ocean views were absolutely stunning, and the serene atmosphere made it the perfect escape. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, providing delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. Their warmth and hospitality truly enhanced our stay. We loved having access to snorkels and paddleboards, which allowed us to fully enjoy the crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life. It was a blissful experience that we’ll always cherish. Highly recommend this paradise to anyone seeking relaxation and adventure in a breathtaking setting.

The lodge is beautifully tucked away in the rainforest, surrounded by vibrant wildlife and the serene sounds of nature. The accommodation was stunning — open-air, thoughtfully designed, and deeply connected to the environment. Every detail feels intentional, from the comfortable beds to breathtaking views of the forest, to having privacy from other rooms, to having two hammocks, to toilet paper holders ;). It’s the perfect balance of charm and comfort. The food and drinks deserve their own spotlight. Most ingredients are grown right on the property (even the pepper on the table and hot sauce are so), and every meal (and also the non-alcoholic drinks) is fresh and absolutely delicious. Dining at La Loma is more than a meal — it’s an experience and you’ve even got the best view of the bay ever from the restaurant. But what truly makes La Loma exceptional is the people. The hosts and staff are welcoming, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and chocolate farm. Their care for sustainability and respect for the environment shines through in everything they do. From hiking through the cacao farm and learning about chocolate-making to trying different local fruits and spotting sloths right from the restaurant, every moment was unforgettable. If you’re looking for a place that’s more than just a stay — a place that connects you with nature and leaves you feeling inspired — La Loma Lodge is it. Without a doubt, one of the most remarkable travel experiences we’ve ever had. Make sure you stay a bit longer than we did, one night was definitely not enough.

The accommodation provides room service, a concierge service and luggage storage for guests. This place is fabulous! 10 out of 10. Owners and staff are super friendly and helpfull. The set up and design of the place are created with passion and love. Perfectly done. Swimming around the location is super. We felt seriously sad to leave the place. Hope to return once.

Really nice locally owned hostel right by the water :) great chill out area and my stay was made even better by the amazing volunteers who were so amazing and nice!! The hostel is clean and tidy, shared dorm has big lockers and private rooms were very spacious. The Zapatilla tour I booked through the hostel was super fun, we even got to go fishing and caught barracudas. I had a very memorable time in Bastimentos because of this hostel and would highly recommend it to everyone :)

Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a 24-hour front desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Some units at the property have a balcony with a sea view. I had a great time at this place! The island is perfect located close to the main island if you like to join the more crowded area, but its nice to turn back to this more laid back and calm island after that. From the main island its very easy to get transport to other islands. For me as a solo traveller this was the perfect location for my travel on Bocas del Toro. Edgar is a great person and he runs his business with heart and soul. You can feel that. I had some troubles with my room and he arranged directly an other room for me. Its clean and the breakfast is good (fruits, coffee, toasts jam and eggs). The hotel is surrounded by nature sounds of birds and other animals. It was a paradise for me! Good value for the price you pay too. Staff is very friendly too
