At first I was a bit intrigued with the fact that we would be sharing restrooms with others, but that was never an issue. There are enough toilets and showers for everyone. View is amazing and interior is very well managed. All kitchenware is kept clean, cookware comes in various sizes and there is more,than enough to use. Contactless access is easy. Best place we stayed at during our Norway trip. I booked only one night and everyone wished to stay more. Having a reception nearby is also helpful.

This small hotel is a true gem, we loved it! This is a historic building which has been beatifully renovated. There are only 5 rooms and 2,5 bathrooms so even though there are no private bathrooms it is still comfortable. Bathrooms are beatiful and spotlessly clean. Very cozy atmosphere all over the house, lots of common areas to rest or to chat with others. Huge terrass overlooking the fjord and the lake. Our bedroom (double room) was comfortable too with a great view to the fjord. Owners are very kind and helpful, thank you Amelie and Mara!

The entire property was beautifully maintained and our room was modern and spotless. The bed was so comfy and the bedding and pillows were great. Olav was the perfect host.

The basic guest rooms feature a wardrobe and access to shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Beautiful setting right on the Fjord, couldn't believe it when we saw our porch. Great size rooms and bathroom, kitchen is stocked with any utensils you may need, washing machine was a very useful addition.

From April to mid-October, Vangsgaarden Gastropub serves meals and drinks in a cosy atmosphere. A buffet breakfast is offered every day at Aabelheim, the oldest building on the site. We stayed in a fisherman's hut, right on the water. It was gorgeous. We even got lucky and were able to see the northern lights over the fjord from our little porch. The restaurant and included breakfast were delicious. We would definitely stay here again.
