At the guest house, the units come with bed linen and towels. It’s a lovely little place in a great location. Everything is in walking distance. The place is really small and can house max 4 males and 4 females. It creates a more cozy atmosphere. Each bunk has a tiny space to store your luggage with doors and curtains around each bunk. You don’t have to climb up and down to get access to your luggage. The owner is very nice and helpful and speaks good English even though the name of the place might not suggest it. 100% recommend and will stay again.

This guest house provides free private parking and a shared kitchen. The accommodation features bicycle parking and a shared lounge for guests. The host was so lovely. She helped me to go and buy food. The second night I spent, she organised a takoyaki evening. It was delicious. The rooms, toilets, bathroom are very clean and convenient. Then it is cheap! (just a bit noisy from the dining room)

1.9 km from Tabaga Beach, MAETAKAYA しまんちゅ is a recently renovated property set in Ishigaki Island and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The property is around 18 km from Yaeyama Museum, 23 km from Tamatorizaki Observation Point and less than 1 km from Kabira Bay. The guest house has family rooms. We stayed during the off-season in early September and had the best summer holiday with them. There’s a terrace downstairs with an exceptional view of Kabira, and the facilities were spotless. Most of all, the owner and his family truly made our stay special—they lit up our entire holiday in Kabira. I’ve never met such kind and accommodating people. I’d 100% recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience the local vibe and enjoy snorkeling or diving, as they’re experienced divers themselves.

We had the chance to visit the most beautiful Ishigaki places with them (including fireflies by night in the wild forest, such an experience) as well as eating food specialties. The place is so lovely and quiet with an amazing view of the sea. The location is perfect to visit Ishigaki Island. So bad that we can't give more than 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you lost the way to the house, and find the sign of IshigakiYouth House, and turn the corner, up the slop(hill), see the first left house. That’s the place.

The location is superb, next to a lush green jungle and only 5 minutes from the nicest beach. Yes, it's a bit far from downtown, but we made it work even without hiring a car. The rooms are beautiful and have nice terraces. The family running it is amazing. We also had an excellent breakfast every day. Can't imagine a better place to stay!
