And the host is very kind and helpful too and speaks good English. He even dropped us at magome where we started the trail. He has good collection of music too at his place which we were able to enjoy. We loved everything about this little village and our short stay. Each room is equipped with a terrace with garden views and free WiFi. We extremely love the room. It was spacious and very comfortable!!! The staff are very nice too. We asked about luggage delivery. The owner didn't know about it but he himself asked the convenience store about it & relay the information to us. Very considerate and nice

Featuring mountain views, Guest House Hinode offers accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a shared lounge, around 2.6 km from Takayama Station. This apartment provides free private parking and a shared kitchen. The apartment features family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. When we arrived we really felt like entering a local house, asbolutely authentic one, with a very nice living room. The owner is a symbol of japanese kindness, he also offered himself to take us to Takayama centre in a rainy day. Another plus: the beds are very confortable, and the street very quite, it's the place where I've slept the best in our trip so far. The surrondings doesn't have much to offer, but there's a bar (maybe an izakaya, though I'm not sure) just down the street and a sushi restaurant at 10mins walk. The old town is not far either, maybe 20min walk.
