The room was absolutely spotless, lovely roll top bath in a large bathroom, comfortable bed and room really well appointed. Lovely food in the bar also. Right in the centre of town.

The hotel was really charming with whimsical touches to the art and furnishings everywhere you looked. The staff was helpful and very accommodating.

The staff was attentive and kind, the room was clean, classy and very comfortable, the pantry was lovely and most of all - the breakfast was heavenly.

Historical Whitby Abbey can be reached in 20 minutes’ walk and the popular Captain Cook Museum is just over a mile away. The town centre is a 10-minute walk away. We loved the Sea View room. The location was close enough to walk in to the town and the Whitby Abbey. The information provided in the room was excellent and the whole experience was welcoming and homely.
