This guesthouse is just steps from the main street with shopping and restaurants, yet very quiet and offers great mountain views from the comfortable rooms. There is also a popular coffee shop just around the corner. There is ample parking and Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station is 25 minutes away. There is also a bus stop close to the guesthouse. All staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. We were given a welcome drink and a delicious freshly cooked breakfast.

Conveniently situated 1.5 km from the Hausberg ski lift in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Hotel Alpengruss features a terrace, and free WiFi. Hiking and cycling trails are easily accessible. Everything! If you are planning to take a bus to visit linderhof or the neuwanstein castle, ask the staff about the visitor pass and all the bus fees are free! Location: When you get off from the train station, turn right and keep going straight for 5 mins, and you will see the hotel!

L'Hotel Föhrenhof est situé dans un quartier paisible à la lisière d'une forêt à Farchant, à seulement 3 km de Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The lady at the reception is super sweet, very very friendly, kind and joyful. And then is the cook of the Gasthof, very friendly man and the schnitzel sandwich he gave us as welcome was perfect because right after that we hit the mountains just before sunset. The breakfast is amazingly good (please don't miss their self-made marmelade, cake and yoghurt), and we also had the opportunity to meet another member of the staff who also was super friendly and kind. The place has a beautiful decoration and the room is spatious, clean, the place is very quiet, and the bed comfortable.

Strategically, the location is perfect! The rooms are spacious and cozy! The owner is friendly and helpful. 100 points.

Very nice owners who even took me to the start of a very cool walk! Nice large room with balcony, comfortable bed. Extensive breakfast. Everything great! I would love to come back here!

Très propre et confortable, idéalement placé à 5 minutes du centre-ville à pied. Le carport est appréciable pour la voiture surtout avec des températures négatives.

Il comprend un jardin, une terrasse et un parking privé gratuit.... Family run. Great view from road. Just two bedrooms upstairs with balcony. Very quiet. Breakfast is laid out in the morning outside the room for you to help yourself. With the tax you pay the owner gives you a travel pass to use in the area. We went on the cable car to Zugspitz which was wonderful and caught the bus just down the road. Had 2 meals at Dorfbrunnen hotel (which gives massive potions!) which is 5 minutes in the car (a bit too far to walk). Would highly recommend a stay here.

It might seem that I exaggerate, but we really had the time of our lives!! Thanks to the hotel, Simon, and the beautiful area. Me (27M) and my girlfriend(23F) could not have found a better place. We were well prepared (or so we thought) and knew exactly what to do, where and when, until we met Simon. He was super friendly and helped us refine our activities with secret local spots and choosing the right day for each activity. For my girlfriend and me this was perfect. (Even if you are not so well prepared Simon will point you towards all the gems exactly tailored to your wishes.) The appartment itself is super clean and recently renovated (while keeping the rustic alpine style). We loved the cozy wooden interior and the bed was very comfortable (including the pillows!!). I almost forgot the great view, see the photo. The location directly at the Fernpass road B179, was ideal for us. We had many things planned such as Zugspitze, Neuschwannstein, Drachensee, Partnachklamm, Breitachklamm and canyoning, which were all within 1h driving (many even much less). This was ideal for us and made a super action packed, beautiful vacation possible for us. Last but not least Simon made a custom mountainbike loop exactly to my wishes, which was one of the coolest (and hardest, cardio wise) experiences I have had in a while, completely for free. He has an amazing collection of bikes which you can borrow for free. With that I would like to conclude that I can only very much recommend staying here. Best wishes, R & E
