The staff were welcoming beyond our standards, such a lovely atmosphere and with such a beautiful environment came a very special story behind the place that made our stay memorable. The place was clean, the photos don’t do it justice. The view is impeccable and where there were mosquitoes present due to the location, mosquito repellent was given kindly whenever we stepped foot outside (SO kind and worked wonders). Phi (one of the staff members) described a very moving tale of how the Boathouse originated after the tsunami which was fascinating and captivating as the film photos captured inside told many stories. The long tail boats within the boat house are pieces from the wreckage of Phi Phi’s tsunami debris. This hotel is more than just very accomodating and welcoming, it has a very intriguing history that makes for a well rounded stay. We loved our time spent at the Sunflower Boathouse and will remember it as such a significant part of our travels. Thank you for providing us with such an amazing stay, we appreciated it so much. A place we will tell our kids to go in many years to come.

We had a lovely room at the front of the property which was nice. We had a light outside our room which we kept turning off as it kept attracting lots of mosquitos which could get in the room but the staff would constantly turn it back on so that was slightly annoying as we got bit lots.

A little gem. Nowhere near as loud as people say. Club noise no worse than aircon. Our manager organised us an afternoon boat yo Phi Phi Lei at a very reasonable rate, door to door. We were very hawith the Dalum Beach house.

It was so lovely to have an ocean view from the balcony of our room! And the beds were big enough for us to sleep in with our 3 and 6 year old kids who kick a lot in their sleep :) We brought a white noise machine. The walk to a fun beach with beach bars was super quick. When we were leaving we discovered a stone walkway along the half of the beach closer to the ferry, and we were able to roll our suitcase down that path and then just carry it on the sand the rest of the way. That was even easier than navigating the busy streets because our suitcase was small and light. With backpacks it would have been even easier to walk along the beach to get to the hotel near the end of the beach.

I don't know why other reviews are so bad. We had a really good experience in this property. We had a beautiful sea view, extremely clean room and access to a beautiful pool. We also got bottles of water each day. We are middle aged and able bodied and found no difficulty walking to and from the property. (This would only be an issue for those that have mobility issues). We would highly recommend 😊
