We had issues with our flight and could not make it to the hotel our first night - the boats dont go once its dark. They were very understanding and advised us a hotel nearby the port on Nosy Be and made arrangements for our transfer the next day! The staff made sure it was a wonderful time. They also bring coffee each morning and make sure your terrace is rain proof by gathering all the stuff each night. We went for a full board and everyday the lunch and dinner varried. They mentioned it"d be 80% fish, but we saw that if you prefer meat they can cater to that. The cocktails are also great and if you can't choose, just let them make you something and be surprised! The dog and cats were friendly, a big plus for us animal lovers.

I can't even describe the feelings and memories that I have now after the stay in Villa King Kombo and on Nosy Kombo itself. The villa is just as you imagine a villa somewhere on an exotic island. Absolutely clean, cozy Malagasy design. Huge and comfortable rooms and I just absolutely loved the concept that during the day you can open all of the windows and feel like you are outside. But at night you can close everything completely. The view from the lounge zone is just to die for. The Villa is a 10 minute walk from the village where you'll find all the restaurants. The coral reef is just in front of the villa and you can easily swim there in the morning when the tide is low. But the most important thing apart from all of that is Dominic who is in charge of everything in the villa and Steven - the owner. They made me feel like an absolute special guest. Not in every 5 star hotel you get the same care of the customer. Steven and Dominic arranged for me a trip to Nosy Tenikely and Nosy Fali. Both of those trips were absolutely amazing. Dominic was there to organize and help me with literally everything I was planning to do. Even before I'd decided anything Dominic already had an answer and the best suggestions. And Steven was on line with me 24/7. Being the best owner of a hotel I met in my entire life. And Dominic being the best manager! I'm 1000% coming back to Villa King Kombo. The thing that happened to me the next morning I flew to Tana is when I woke up I thought "God. Why not on Villa King Kombo". And even now I'm writing this review from Delhi, India it feels like I'm literally there right now. Absolutely magical experience and magical place. Thank you Steven and Dominic for everything! There is only one thing. You have to get used to screaming lemurs in the evening. Because there is a huge lemur family that comes to the tree next to the Villa. But once you get used to it - you'll miss that sound.

Good position, clean, good breakfast, big rooms

Giannie, the host, was incredible. She took great care of us during our stay and then went above and beyond afterwards. We had mistakenly packed a couple of their towels which she came to collect from the next hotel we stayed at. She organized an airport transfer at a much better rate than our next hotel offered. When our next hotel couldn't arrange a babysitter she found one. And, lastly, when our son left his small suitcase in the taxi that we took to the airport, she arranged to get it back and hold it at Villa Vintana until we returned again. Gracious and cheerful from start to finish. The common areas are limited, but they make the best of them--some board games, games for the kids, TV and lounge area. And they organized tours at a much better rate than other hotels. Food and drink prices were also better value than other restaurants or hotels we went to.

we had a very large room right on the beach with a terrace with table and chairs and deck chairs! it was furnished and decorated with lovely African touches! the bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water and a fan! the whole property was kept spotless by the wonderful friendly staff! Patrique and his lovely wife and team were so welcoming and we felt right at home having breakfast on the balcony overlooking the sea. Patrique was so helpful with local information and any questions you may have. There is a kitchen to use which is well equipped and very clean too! There are a few eating options in the area and you are right in the little village too (but it is very quiet!) We did not want to leave but sometimes you just have to move on! A great budget option! Accommodation amidst lush and well-kept tropical garden with an infinity pool, just like in the description and in the photographs. Bungalows/cabins surrounded by mango trees provide views of picturesque sunsets on the sea. Meals in the local restaurant vary periodically and cater to different preferences. The staff are outgoing and helpful. Trips can be discussed and tailored on the spot, and pick-up from the airport is reliable in spite of delayed flights. The place to stay for a week or more.

The hotel is new and very well maintained with exceptional staff that pay attention to the guests and to the small details. The place is very well organised and the hotel has a great culture in place with very hard working, respectful and welcoming staff.

Excellent location and beach views from the terrace. The host Felicia and all staff were lovely, caring, and super helpful to arrange all activities. Very nice and complete breakfast, and overall the room was comfy.
