Room is clean, spacious, functional for the price. 2 showers downstairs and 1 bathroom upstairs shared across 4 rooms. All spotlessly clean. Nice lounge downstairs that was converted from a sushi restaurant. With cool art created by other guests. Staff was friendly.

It was clean, safe and quiet. There is a kitchen so you can eat your meals at the guesthouse and don’t need to worry about finding food. They offer a shuttle to the nearest station and museum which was a great help as the guesthouse is a bit secluded in a quiet neighborhood. There are hiking trails nearby and would love to visit again and explore more of the area around the guesthouse.

The staff were great. Mana and Takahiro were sunny people, always smiling. Nao was quiet but so helpful to me to resolve my back problem by getting a futon for me. The other staff were very friendly and helpful as well. It's great to have youthful staff. One of the best kitchen I've encountered so far. Only suggestion is to use thicker mattresses. Great hostel!

I had an incredible time at Momiji no mori and I would really like to thank the staff and their friends for making it extra wonderful! I was already excited to visit as I loved the antique theme and views from the location. I truly wish I stayed one more day in order to have a more relaxed pace but I still found a moment to enjoy the outdoor bath and Hakone in general has been great. Kintoki shrine is only a few minutes walk away and if you're adventurous, you can go up the 1212m tall mountain from the path behind it. I didn't have a car but the staff was super hospitable and drove me close by on several occasions and there's also a bus stop right outside. I really felt well cared for while being a solo traveller and somewhere less busy, so this made a big difference in my comfort. The room is as cozy and calm as it looks and it is well maintained and clean. The gallery space is really incredible, I could sit in the rocking chair or balcony forever and listen to the music and birds. I can't wait to come back here one day, especially when it is fully autumn!

We had a wonderful stay at this coffee shop-styled house. The nostalgic decor and spacious tatami-floored bedrooms created a cozy and unique atmosphere. Our kids enjoyed the toys and books provided by the host, which kept them entertained. The location is excellent, within walking distance of popular attractions like Shuzenji and the bamboo path. We would definitely book this place again if we have the chance to visit Izu again in the future.

A 3-minute bus ride from Hakone Yumoto Station, GuestHouse Azito is set within a Japanese-style main building with Japanese-style rooms. It features an annex, open since March 2017.

Everything was beyond expectations! The location was great, the staff was really helpful and informative and kind, the facilities were lovely and clean, and the capsule bed was cute and very comfortable. Absolutely great value for money, especially in such a touristic area.
