The host-Geoff was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely and relaxed. Also Kirkgate was a very short walk to the centre of Thirsk and almost next door to the World of James Herriot.

Everything was fantastic! The Swan is located in a beautiful little village, which is lovely to walk around. The hotel is fantastic. I actually only booked here because I was travelling through and needed a place to stop in the area, but I'd return again without hesitation – and stop for dinner next time! Friendly staff, a beautiful location, and the garden rooms were wonderful. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, and the fresh milk for tea was much appreciated. I couldn't fault a thing.
