We had a wonderful vacation at Les Chambres Romantiques! For our April vacation, we wanted a calm, clean and beautiful place with nature scenery in the Aix en Provence area. Les Chambres Romantiques is exactly that! This is a small, family owned and operated business and you can feel they put their hearts and effort into creating a unique, high-end experience for their guests. Corinne and Damien live on the property and were very kind in helping us with everything we needed throughout our stay. The room was spacious, very clean and beautifully designed (we had a chance to see the other rooms and they were all very high-end with a modern, fresh feel). The Jaquzzi in the room is a huge plus, with high quality robes and towels. They have an outside pool with greenery all around. Note that you do need a car to travel around the region and to get to city center and back. You should also pay attention to the check-in time as the room are meticulously prepared for each guest (there is no lobby as again, this is a private property) I would absolutely recommend this place if quality and authentic experience is what you are after!

What an amazing little place! So tranquil and a slice of heaven. A quick taxi into Aix en Provence. The owners really make the place! I was traveling alone as my flight was cancelled so stayed for 2 nights. I had some lovely chats with the owners who had great stories and gave great recommendations and were extremely accommodating! The breakfast is delicious and very generous. The pool is huge and the garden is absolutely perfect to relax in, beautiful plants and flowers everywhere. Space to sunbathe and also to sit in the shade and do work if you desire. I noted some of the bad reviews and I think they’re entirely unfounded. It’s a really gorgeous place. I think the bad reviewers are expecting Château de la Gaude or Hôtel Le Pigonnet which is an entirely unfair comparison and of course over 5 times the price!

Le Repos du Keyrié in Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde provides adults-only accommodations with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and a garden.

Undisputably the best place to stay around Aix to enjoy the atmosphere of Provence. The hosts are friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The house is very well maintained, high standard, clean and tastefully decorated. It’s hard not to love it.

La Mas de Emelienne has the ambience of a beautiful bed & breakfast, and the hosts were absolutely wonderful people. They could not have been more gracious or kind, and they even took the time to sit down with us by the pool and talk. Our French is so-so and their English was so-so, yet we managed to talk about everything from current events to tennis stars of the 1980’s (Lol!). They also had a fantastic homemade breakfast set-up for us in the kitchen the next morning, and they fit it in at a convenient time so we could get to the Marseilles airport for our flight home. The town of Coudoux is quaint and quiet, and there was a fantastic restaurant right across the street from the B&B (L’Eouve is the name of the restaurant).

The property has been recently renovated. We appreciate the quiet, clean and warm atmosphere. It’s a beautiful area and my husband and I appreciated the warm welcome - our room had everything we needed to relax and rest for the weekend.
