The breakfast was very tasty and the breakfast room very comfortable. There were excellent public transport links to Hamburg from the hotel which were covered by a weekly pass bought at local pinneberg railway station for29 Euro.For instance leaving elbesymphonie concert hall at 11.00 pm I was back in hotel at 12.10 using u Bahn schnell Bahn to pinneberg and Bus from station to hotel.

We liked most that the room/apartment was spacious and enough beds for a family with 3 children. It is always a challenge to find properties which accommodate 2 grownups and 3 children. It’s also easy to find, free parking and many shops close by. The hosts are warm and welcoming people and I wish we would have stayed longer :-D

This place is a gem if you're a 1st time visitor to Hamburg. The hotel is a 5-minute walk to the Christmas market (Rathaus), a 7-minute walk to the mall (Europa Passage) with lots of dining options. In this mall, you will find grocery store (REWE) on the ground floor. The place is very close to several bus routes, and has great access to Hamburg Hbf. The Jungfernstieg Promenade and it's upscale shops are a short walk away. The place is very clean and I like the blonde wood in our room. There's one shared toilet in our floor (3rd), and it was clean. We had a shower and a sink in our room, but there was also a shared bathroom on the 3rd floor, with a bathtub and hair dryer. I appreciate the quiet atmosphere, the clean towels, clean crisp sheets, soap, hot and cold water, armoire, tv, table and two chairs in our room. Email communication from the hotel was excellent. There is NO elevator, and since it's in an old building, it's quite a distance between floors. If you're carrying a huge, checked-in luggage, it will be a challenge to navigate those stairs. Otherwise, bringing a carry-on luggage and a backpack is a good exercise. If ever I'm in Hamburg again, I will not hesitate to book this place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
