Bed and pillows really comfortable, excellent staff and service. Traditional bar with really friendly and welcoming locals. 2 excellent cask ales that were kept in great condition. Great home cooked Pissas and the breakfast was the best full cooked breakfast I've ever had, the black pudding and haggis were very good quality

Amazing country home with so much history snd laid-back exceptional surroundings. The staff, especially Kate, really made our stay fun and bespoke. The restaurant and chef were so spot-on and it was overall a great escape from the hustle and bustle in a place that feels like home (but with a much better garden!)

Staff were very friendly, check in process quick and simple , breakfast choice very good and we had free parking which should be standard in all hotels.

The Lodge is a super stop over location. It is a super mix of golf club, hotel, bar and mini restaurant. It isn't a hotel - it is much more homely and comfortable. The staff are all very helpful and accommodating. We had a super wee bar supper from the bar menu, which was as advertised and reasonably priced. All in all, this location is a 'keeper' and we will be using it again to break our trips South at Edinburgh.
