GermanyThe family was very, very kind and lovely. The owner explained us everything in detail and welcomed us with tea. The breakfast was very tasty and we even could take a bath in an old Japanese bathroom. You could see how much effort had gone into the house. I wish I could stay there longer! The house is really amazing. You can feel like you were in old Japan.

Everything was beautifully clean and just so tastefully done. The property was the perfect location within the town sitting on the banks of the shirakawa river! It was traditional and modern yet it was the gorgeous hospitable family that made this property so warm and inviting.

A beautiful family-run 130 year old house that has been renovated and updated where it counts.
Our Japanese-style room was spacious and with a lovely garden view. There was also a new private bath which was fabulous.
The 11-course dinner relied on beautiful fresh local produce presented in a modern style, and breakfast was just as innovative and delicious.
