Discovering Matera is discovering human history and since the moment we stepped in Moyseion our historical journey became reality. The concept of Moyseion, unique in its genre, was an experience, starting with the welcome at check/in surrounded by mosaics, the perfumes of ancient essences and spices. We were enchanted by the storytelling of the in/house archeologist who explained us the decor and the meaning of each design piece in the bacheca collection. The room in a minimal design allowed us to fully feel in a time capsule, but with the comforts of the 21 century. The Pool experience is something unforgettable as the breakfast with music and performances while tasting a unique and well studied menu. We loved every second of our time in Moyseion and we want to thank the staff for their welcoming and attention.

A small and charming hotel in an unbeatable central location. The staff were exceptionally helpful—especially warm and welcoming throughout our stay. The rooms were well-appointed and quiet, ensuring a restful night. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the lady serving was incredibly kind and attentive.
