I would like to extend particular and enormous thanks to Erin, Hannah, Luna, Rosie. I went through situations of a misplaced bag and the extended delay of a limousine bus pickup - both times the staffs’ kindness made me feel extremely supported especially being a solo traveller in a foreign country with a different language. Kudos to them!

I was in Vietnam for two weeks and stayed there on 3 separate occasions. The first one, I had just arrived in Hanoi as a solo traveller. Hanoi is busy and can be overwhelming but the team at Meritel gave me a warm welcome, helpful suggestions on where to eat, shop and sight see. I felt very safe and cared about. Special shoutout to Mike who was extremely helpful including giving me updates on the weather in the different places I was travelling to, giving me suggestions for activities even outside Hanoi and generally being friendly 😁 The amenities were great - I really liked the rooftop bar and the work area (great for me who was working remotely and needed a good desk!) The rooms were spacious, comfortable bed with lots of good light. Modern but tastefully decorated. I booked the junior suite. The hotel is also centrally located in the Old Quarter which meant I was in the middle of the buzz (but didn’t get any noise in my room) and I was close to most attractions. It was also very accessible by foot and car.

Special shout out to Vivian who greeted us during check in, brought us to our room and even accompanied us to the in house restaurant, which by the way has very nice dishes. My children love the food! We had to check out very early on the next morning. The gentleman at the front desk already know we planned to bring some breakfast on the go, he called the restaurant to preempt them. About the rooms, they were clean, good sound proofing. Location was convenient in The Old Quarters. I will definitely stay at GM Premium again if I return to Hanoi.
