Don't take taxis recommended from the concierge because they are twice as expensive as the ones you can catch on the street. Beware that Lima is a big city and the traffic moves very slowly whenever you go. The staff is very helpful and the hotel experience overall is excellent.

Swissôtel Lima is a 5-star hotel located in the heart of San Isidro, Lima's business and residential district. It is nearby Huaca Huallamarca and just 7 miles away from Jorge Chavez International Airport. The hotel was one of the most impressive hotels I have ever stayed in. From the second you walk in, you know you will be looked after with great care. The staff were excellent. The pool area is beautiful especially with the outdoor jacuzzi. The breakfast in the morning had an unbelievable selection of greatly prepared food. There is just a very calming atmosphere in the hotel.
