Rooms are slightly bigger than hotels in Tokyo and were great for our family of 5( includes baby). The view was exceptional. The breakfast was awesome, a bit of western to east items and again the view was great. We got Club Lounge access which I highly recommend, quality drinks and food items for the entire family. Location was exceptional with station connected to hotel and one stop from Nagoya station.

Please pay in cash or by card upon check-in. Guests under 12 years old are exempt from the lodging tax. Calm, nice peaceful vibes, everything was perfect. Epic showers.

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. The hostel offers hot-spring baths, free Wi-Fi and 3 lounges. THE MOST MEMORABLE STAY IN JAPAN! I've changed 3 hostels, 2 ryokans, and this is definitely the best one!!! IT'S A HIDDEN GEM. AND I honestly hope it stays that way so I can book it on my next trip to Japan and stay here longer. YOU get access to two private onsens, one on each floor, and one public onsen on the ground floor, that I honestly even loved more than the private ones. Everything is super clean, taken care of with love and the staff is super nice, and they speak English in case you don't speak Japanese! The rooms are incredible, I loved sleeping on the futon, there was enough space in rooms for everybody to leave their luggage, and in the kitchen you could help yourself to free tea, coffee, jams, bread etc. The kitchen has everything you need, and you can even do laundry. Everything you need is there. The views from the room, and especially from the common room are incredible! They have a kotatsu, and books you can read. There's at least 5 sections in the common area in case you want privacy. Honestly the best ryokan ever. And it's affordable!!!

Two different hot spring baths, nice spread of food served to room for breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff but a bit weak on speaking English.

This 4-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and bicycle parking. The ryokan has parking on-site, a hot spring bath and full-day security. The location is about a 20 min walk to the central area and about a 30 min walk to the Hida Folk Village so the location isn’t too bad if you’re planning to see both. The staff is beyond excellent, extremely polite, friendly and welcoming. We had the Japanese breakfast which was really delicious. I loved how big our room was, it was all well worth the stay.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 35 km from Fuji-Q Highland. Amazing views of Mt Fuji and delicious buffet. However, the onsen only had one small pool per gender.

The B&B is about a 5-minute walk from the station. The owners are very welcoming and fluent in English, offering welcome drinks and plenty of suggestions for local sightseeing spots. While the traditional Japanese building's roof can get hot in summer, every room has air conditioning, and the space is quite roomy. Although the bathrooms are shared, everything is convenient and comfortable

Located just 40 km from Nagoya Castle, B&B legare provides accommodation in Gifu with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as a 24-hour front desk. I usually don’t write reviews but this place is so good that I had no option but to write. This is a house. A proper house with a lovely backyard and cleanliness of highest standards. However, the real charm is the landlady. She is extremely polite and generous to the extent that she goes all the way to accommodate the guest’s needs. From little games to Onsen excursions, just staying at this property should be a reason good enough to visit Gifu. Finally, the food. I would recommend you to wake up super hungry because the landlady puts out a feast every morning! She is a cook par excellence and each dish (including the serveware) has a story to tell. It’s amazing how she manages everything on her own. There is nothing to not like about this place. I visited Gifu on a work trip but now this place has become my reason to return to Gifu. The city has an asset in this place and it truly shows you what Japan is when you take away the neon lights.
