I had the pleasure of staying at Farm Villa Resort in Katharagama for two nights, and it was a wonderful and memorable experience from start to finish! 🌿 From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and heartfelt. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. Special mention to the front office team – truly a gem in hospitality! The room was spacious, the bathroom was very big, and the overall comfort . The clean and inviting swimming pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing in the serene atmosphere. What makes Farm Villa Resort truly special is its beautiful location surrounded by nature. The resort is set amidst lush paddy fields, and there's a charming little lake flowing through the property, creating a peaceful, scenic environment ideal for rest and reflection. I enjoyed walking through the paddy fields, listening to the birds in the mornings, and even got to pick fresh fruits from the garden! 🍌🌾 It's also conveniently located – just a short walk to the sacred Kirivehera and Katharagama Dewalaya, making it perfect for both pilgrims and nature lovers.One of the biggest highlights was the full-day Yala Safari arranged by the hotel – an absolutely amazing adventure! 🐘🦁 We saw incredible wildlife, and everything was perfectly organized with a knowledgeable guide.The food was another standout. The traditional Sri Lankan dinner was flavorful and authentic, clearly made with care and love. The breakfast offered plenty of variety, and every meal was beautifully presented. We spend 2 nights in this very special hotel. The host is charismatic persone, it was a big pleasure to speak with him. He build the rooms around a three - the fantastic artwork. The hotel is close to the Yale park, many animals come but it is safe and quiet. The food was beter than excellent. The host organized for us 5 hrs safari in Yale park. One evening he showed us the prayers in Kateragama temples - fantastic. Last day he drove us to the bus station free of charge. We strongly recommend this hotel.

The little bungalow is really cute, with a little jungle patio to relax on. The room is spacious, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is really nice. Amazing for the price! The staff are very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely little property with a wonderful owner who was always on hand to make sure everything was ok. The outside inside bathroom was a highlight. The food she cooked was excellent and lots of it! They also organised everything for our full safari trip to Yala with a great and safe guide and organised a breakfast to go hamper for the journey which was fabulous.

Amazing experience at Lake Front Yala Safari. The room was extremely comfortable and very clean but the best thing was the family that run this guesthouse, very kind and welcoming. The lady cooked a spectacular dinner, the best I have had since I'm in Sri Lanka, the daughter is a very smart girl who speaks very good English, she explained to me about the Sri Lankan culture and traditions of Kataragama. Last but not least I could book the safari through them at a very affordable price. I recommend this place 100%
