The owner was kind and great at conversation. Also gave us a tour of the facilities in a helpful and efficient manner.

The manager Steve was exceptionally kind and patient with us. He provided in depth recommendations and maps of the area, taking into care our preferences. We tried two restaurants he recommended and both were great. Room was spotless and comfortable. Bed was really comfortable.

The hotel is a short walk from a metro station, and centrally located--a good base for excursions. (We enjoyed 4-seat biking and the beach on Cijin and many up-close encounters with macaques on Monkey Mountain.) There are stores in the vicinity that could provide for most travelers' needs. We found good restaurant options nearby and a large night market is a 10-15 min. walk. Our room was large, and generous bath accessories were provided.
